Life
Hi!
After leaving Eldorado I attended OSU, U. of MD, U of Minn and Wayne State University in Detroit while I obtained a degree in Art Education in 1980. After subbing for several years I completed a Master's and Doctorate at Wayne State in Instructional Technology. I also have a Gerontology certificate and am a Certified Performance Improvement Technologist for business.
I've worked as an instructional designer at a large hospital, been director of a training department, taught at the university level, faculty development and am now in curriculum and course development.
From 2005 to 2011 I was Central Michigan University's Instructional Developer and am the Campus coordinator for the software system that faculty use to manage their courses (Blackboard). Since...Expand for more
January I am engaged in helping develop the curriculum and courses for a new medical school here on campus.
Merl and I have been married since 1966 and have two children. Lee works for Sapient Nitro, a marketing firm, and does online marketing for Chrysler products. He and Heather have been married since 1991 and have four boys (Samuel, 16; Isaac 13; Elijah 8; and Jared 7). Tamela lives near Detroit and had just received her Real Estate license and is engaged to Evan Derian.
Merl was the Wayne State University campus veterinarian (for 30 + years) and spent almost nine years active duty Air Force and another 17 in the National Guard. He is now semi-retired and works half-time for WSU. We're looking forward to the next chapter in our lives -- whatever that may be!
