Irma's Story
Hi! Class of 1967!
I attended college at Pan American University in Edinburg, Tx then transferred to Texas Women's University in Denton with hopes of becoming a nurse-RN. However, my dad left us so I had to drop out after a year and a half of college to take care of my mom and sisters.
I married Rosendo Robledo from Harlingen, Tx and had three children - all married. We now have 7 grandkids. I retired in 2011 from South Texas Academy of Medical Technology - a medical magnet high school - where I was in charge of all the business aspect of it. teran - he was a medic in the Army - and received several medals including 2 purple hearts. He was drafted during his senior year in college so upon return, he completed his bachelors and worked and received two masters degrees. He was a diagnostician, Special Ed supervisor then an Associate Advisor (like an asst. superintendent) for the San Benito school district. He retired 17 years ago. He is almost 8 years older than me-but we are great together. My son lives Harlingen , my daughter, Irma Michelle, lives in Edinburg, Tx and our baby, Mary Louise, lives in Buda and is a Kinder Teacher for Austin ISD.
