Irvin's Story
Update, Retired from 34 years with the DOD...got married, joined navy in fall 72, divorce and out of navy in 78, by then I had been 3/4 around the world. Korea, Phillipines, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Pakistan, Kenya, Ireland, England, Spain, Israel to name a few. Lived in LA, San Diego, Bay Area, moved to Grass Valley in 79, left there move to Wa state in 82, married again in 84, divorced in 98, moved to Italy in 2003, my job was traveling around europe, middle east preforming govt oversight on private contractors for the DOD. 4 children, older son in Marysville, twin daughters 27, youngest son 19 who is in the Army and went to italy with me. back in Cal for the moment but who knows where life will lead me, been a strange and i...Expand for more
nteresting journey. My parents gave me a bible when I was five, there is a picture of the Mount of Olives in Jersuleum in it. I have stood where that picture was taken from, and jumped into the Dead Sea. I have been to the Roman Forum where Caesar, Cicero, Pompey stood. I have walked the bridge Cleopatra crossed on her way to Rome. I have been to Athens, Rhodes Greece, I have driven most of Sicily and 2/3 of Italy. I have been to Mt Kiliminjaro in Kenya. I have swam in the largest salt water pool in the world. I have stayed at the Hong Kong Hilton. I have drank Chinese white wine in Penang Mayalsia. I have witnessed Chinese New Year in China. Like I said a strange and interest jouney and the one thing I can say is that I haved lived it....More to come.
