Laura Holden:  

I graduated early in 1979 but class of 1980 is my correct class mates. My favorite way to blow off steam is create pictures on computer and cleaning. lol I relax by going to the beach, taking a walk in the park, and reading. However, the way I enjoy life the most is when I am blessed with the company of my 15 month old grandson, Caden Bennett. He is the absolute echo of my heart beat. I tell him all the time that I love him more than chocolates. LOL. I have many heroes in my life. The first one and most important is God.He has always lifted me up and give me His strength to endure. Then my Mom and Dad who both passed away in 2004. They made such an impact on my life and raised me to be the person I am today. Times were not always so wonderful but they loved me and I knew it always. My family is my hero. I have 6 siblings. One brother and 5 sisters. We were always a close family. Then once our parents died, we all went our separate ways. But I know God will bring us all back close together for He knows my heart. I have one very special son, Deke, who has always been by my side through the good times and the bad times. We are very close and have each others back always. He has not had it easy but he has turned out to be an awesome man that I am so proud to call my son. Deke is a very intelligent, loving, compassionate, and caring person. We are not just mother and son but we are also the best of friends. He loves me dearly and he is not afraid of showing it. He is also an outstanding dad to Caden Jacob Bennett who is the reason for Deke working so hard and is now enrolling into classes at Midland's Tech. Caden looks just like his daddy. They are both so adoreable. Deke is engaged to a beautiful young lady from Kershaw, Nikki Faulkenberry. She completes Deke in all the right ways. They have a beautiful family in which I am proud of them all. ***Exciting update....we just found out that we are expecting our second little miracle who should arrive on or close to January 22, 2013.
