Life
My life? Ummm..yeah. As of January 19th, 2007, divorced with one small human life form who is now 13 and she ain't so small anymore. Living in Rochester MN, and happy as heck to be here.

I got a dog from the Rochester animal shelter on March 10th. Initially I went in search of someone to keep my other dog company but when I saw Snoopy, an abandoned and viciously abused purebred poodle, cowering in a corner, I couldn't just leave him there in the shelter to die.
Realistically, I expected to spend maybe 3 or 4 hundred bux on vet bills for him. Boy w...Expand for more
as I ever WRONG. Turned out that he has diabetes, and the tiny cataracts he had when I got him have now completely filled in and blinded him.
Two months and 1,730 dollars later, I'm happy to say however, is the worst of it is over. He is doing much better now that I've got him on insulin shots twice a day and a static feeding schedule. He's learned to navigate his way around the house and outside quite well but every once in a great while, he'll bonk his head on something.
The monetary cost is nothing compared to seeing this dog make such graphically positive leaps in health over the last two months.
