Hart's Story

In our high school graduation paper they asked us all what our plans were after graduation. I said I was going to California and I did what I said after attending WMU and getting a BS in sociology and later in 79 I received my MA in blind rehabilitation. My internship took me to the VA Hospital in Palo Alto, CA. Afterwards I received a job at the Blind Center in Palm Springs and later moved to Los Angeles in 1980 and have been here for the past 41 years. I'm ...Expand for more
not a winter person, so constant sun and access to the beach and mountains is like paradise, so now I'm retired after years in a completely different field, that of sales in a high end showroom in Beverly Hills selling home fixtures often to the stars. I changed my name legally to Hart James Austin 32 yrs ago, but friends from college and relatives still call me Jim. My cousin, Guy Csutora, who also graduated in 1971, died of a heart attack about 7 years.
