JAN's Story

I went to work for FPL - Florida Power & Light Company in Miami in 1971 and continued to work for them until 2008 when I retired from FPL in Lake City, FL. I now live in Eastern Kentucky with my husband George of 46 years and have two grown sons Adam 40 and Derek 38. Derek is married and has two sons and a 3rd one due in November 2022. We are on a 300 acre farm in Kentucky but have it up for sale to move to our new place in Harlem, GA to be close to our youngest son and his family. will be building our 5th home together. Rather late in life to be moving and start building again but we love being grandparents and want to be a part of their lives in our final phase of life. I love traveling and just returned in May 2022 from a 20 day trip to Greece. I've seen a lot of the world with friends because George does not like to travel overseas. Although, George and I have enjoyed seeing 45 of the 50 states in the USA. I'm enjoying and loving life and thank God for my great family, friends and good health.
