JOHN's Story
After Graduating from High Point, I continued academic work at the University of Maryland and completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1970, M.S. in 1974, and Ph.D. in 1977 (Biology, Physiology, Cell and Molecular Biology). I also married Nancy Huff in 1977. She was the Secretary to the Chair of the Undergraduate Program at the time. We have two wonderful daughters, Noelle and Chelsea and 3 grandsons (Riley, Brady, and Cameron), all courtesy of Noelle.

a, I returned to the University and was appointed to be the first Program Director for the B.S. Degree Program at the Shady Grove Life Science Center in Rockville, Maryland. We left Maryland in 2007 and moved to Charlotte, North Carolina (chasing our grandsons; Riley is now 21; a senior at UNC Wilmington, Brady is now 16, and Cameron is now 12). I went to work for Atrium Health in 2007 and ran their Master's Degree Program in Occupational Therapy through the academic facility owned by Atrium Health, Cabarrus College of Health Sciences.
