JOHN THORP:  

John Thorp is currently President and CEO, of Intelligent Bioenergetics, Inc. He is also the Founder and President, of Thorp Institute of Integrated Medicine, Inc. In November of 2012, Intelligent Bioenergetics, Inc., was established by John Thorp to sell and distribute advanced intelligent bioenergetics devices internationally. Thorp Institute of Integrated Medicine ("TI"), is a medical management company established in 1995 and is the leading authority on microcurrent technologies. With thirty (35) plus years of experience in the field of bioenergetics, Thorp administered and taught proprietary, clinically proven, electrotherapy protocols to clients and practitioners worldwide. John is also the Founder, President, and CEO of Thorp Institute (established in 1995) and one of the foremost authorities on the Intelligent Micro Current technologies and the Electro Equiscope instrument. Medical and veterinary practitioners worldwide have sought out his superior training program. Throughout the 1970s and into the mid-1980s, John had been a successful Hawaii stuntman on such shows as Hawaii Five O, The Six Million Dollar Man, Magnum P.I., Jake and the Fat Man, and a host of others, all filmed in Hawaii. In 1986, John shattered his tibia, fibula, and femur in a non-stunt related accident and was told by doctors that without a total knee replacement he would be crippled for life. A procedure of this kind would have meant an end to his career and the lifestyle he loved and worked so hard to achieve. Fortunately, actor Lee Majors recommended that John try a new, highly regarded, therapy that had been thrust into the limelight by professional athletes such as Terry Bradshaw, Joe Montana, and golfing great Jack Nicklaus. John followed through with Lee’s recommendation, and the results were incredible! A year from the date of his injury, he competed in his first triathlon on a leg the doctors said would never bend again. He returned to the occupation he loved and began sharing this amazing technology with his colleagues. By working on horses as well as people, John proved that his dramatic recovery was not just a placebo effect. Every horse and person he treated had the same incredible results: a reduction of chronic pain and expedited recovery time. In 1988, John attended the Institute of Oriental Medicine and studied acupuncture. Concurrently, John became licensed in the state of Hawaii as a massage therapist. In 1988, Loma Linda owned, Castle Medical Center in Hawaii hired John in their “Work Well” rehabilitation center. After attending the Institute of Oriental Medicine to study acupuncture, John established protocols that were non-existent for this technology that produced a 90% success rate in the reduction of chronic pain. He took a four-­year assignment at Loma Linda's affiliate, Castle Medical Center, located in Kailua, Hawaii. This allowed him to train others as well as fine-tune the clinical protocols he was developing. He oversaw the treatments of 24, plus, chronic pain patients daily in the physical therapy department of the hospital as well their outpatient centers in Kailua and Kaneohe. Due to overwhelming success, Castle expanded its outpatient physical therapy centers to Maui, where he oversaw an additional 3 clinics and an additional (24) plus, patients daily at the Kahului, Kihei, and Lahaina physical therapy centers as well. John's expertise in the clinical use of these world-renowned medical devices led to eventual ownership and operation of three full-phased medical clinics. In 1994 John opened the Balanced Body Center in Hawaii. Due to the overwhelming success of treating the “Who’s Who,” of Oahu, including the ex-two term governor, George Ariyoshi, Triple crown Surf Champion, Sunny Garcia, World Wind surfing Champion Robbie Nash, and the “Great One,” Wayne Gretzky, who was seen on Maui and shortly there after returned to the Ice. The Balance Body center attracted news media coverage from all the local News stations including ABC, NBC, and CBS affiliates. In 1995 he Expanded to California where he opened, the Thorp Institute of Integrative Medicine at the Westwood Medical Center in Westwood California, and in 2005 opened the Thorp Institute of Integrated Medicine in Encinitas, California. In 2005 John was contacted by Sanoviv Medical Institute, a world renown Cancer research and treatment center located in Rosorito Mexico. Sanoviv purchased the Electro-Acuscope an Myopulse from John with the understanding that John would continue to train the staff, oversee the bioenergetics department as well as lecture to the guest regarding his protocols and how this type of therapy could allow their bodies to heal themselves in a very accelerated manner. In 2007 John Spent 6 months getting his certification in Functional Medicine and has been granted a certificate of completion. At that time the only massage therapist to ever achieve such an accreditation, as a graduate in Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice AFMCP. His lecture series was well received and he remained there for 7 years overseeing treatment protocols for the guests, and an ongoing training program for the Doctors and the staff.
