Jack's Story

After FHHS and a year at American U I finished college at Tulane and decided to become a dentist and attended NYU. A summer hitchhiking through Europe, two years as a Navy dentist in CA I moved to Connecticut as a dentist in a residential facility for developmentally disabled folks - incredible experience. After 2 years moved to Negril, Jamaica (1975)working as a dentist in a rural dental clinic, living on the beach for 2+ years - very cool! Then to Boston (Harvard) got my MPH (public health) and taught there for awhile...Expand for more
before moving to Arizona. Here for 20+ years with a 4 year break in Santa Monica (public health director). Ultimately became Health Director (State Health Dept.) here. Now the dean of Arizona's first dental school - I started it to create dentists to work with underserved folks - have graduated two classes with great success - check it out wa.asdoh.atsu.edu. I spend alot of time traveling and speaking around the world on public health. I work out alot and enjoy good friends and good food! That's all folks - best, jack.
