Jack's Story
Life
After getting an MBA and working at Quaker for 8 years, I owned an advertising photography studio in CA for a decade. Now I'm a writer with seven titles at eadonbooks.com and Amazon.com. I now live in southern California. In between books, I've had four brain surgeries to reduce the size of a benign, recurrent cyst, and I've lived around the country with my marketing executive spouse. It's a pain, but I'm fairly normal, despite the moves and surgeries! Well, fairly normal. I now have a publicist to help with PR and my publishing company, Eloquence Press, and have given radio interviews around the country in support of my books. I have also repositioned my website, Eadonbooks.com and seven of my eight books against the Seven Deadly Sins, which I hope will be a good idea! One of my books, GOT TO MAKE IT!, about my band, is featured at Khazad.com and has lots of mentions of Park View and Niles West. It comes with a CD that has sold around the world!
School
I look back at my high school years and all I remember is studying, my friend and surrogate brother Jim Bode, Lois Reebe(my teen-age love), cross-country and track (with Coach Ron Campbell and friends and teammates Ronald & Roger Johnson), with some talent shows (Miss Eileen Zelznick) thrown in . . . and of course, my band , who went on to be rediscovered as a cult band in Europe.
I also remember teachers like Tom McMahon, who I've tried to reach to thank for encouraging my artful endeavors, even after high school, when I taught a class of his. Thanks, Tom! Your encouragement helped set my course! An engineer I'm not! A writer I am! see eadonbooks.com.
College
I remember very few people from Circle in those days, the war was raggedly real, taking up my consciousness. I do remember Stanley Erke(a student), a guy who helped me find a direction in life: my MBA, University of Chicago. Thanks, Stan.

nd instructor, Houston Stokes. He helped give me a center and loads of confidence, and encouraged me to go to U of C. Right choice, Houston.
Workplace
After leaving my rock band in 1972, I worked in corporate America for a decade, then owned an advertising photography studio for another ten years, and since 1994, I write full time and occasionally teaches.
I recently remastered(with Steve Yates, who owns his own studio) and produced some songs called CHERRY TOWN I wrote and recorded in 1967¿the same year as Sgt. Pepper, and had it produced as a vinyl and CD to worldwide cult fans by VOID Records, a well known collectors' label. Lois always thought Cherry Town was awful and the reason our band shouldn't have sung at all, but the album turned out pretty good, we recorded it in a basement on a 2-track recorder, and did some amazing things we shouldn't have been able to do. I'm very proud of the end creation, and Lois' lack of support during an important time was ill-advised. Other than that she was really supportive and the "drive" she saw in my then still survives.
This year I'm doing a video featuring a song I wrote in 1971 and Steve Yates just remastered it, so it sounds good. The illustrations that tell the story are wonderful and done by Denis Proulx in Quebec. The video animation is done by Chris Hatcher at eMotions. Chris will take Denis' creations and make them 3-D in a way. When it's done it ought to be spectacular! I've basically directed the whole project by saying what I like and how characters should look and so forth. It's called "Stanley's Visit to Kerkle-Morff," is 12 minutes long. and will be on youTube and my band's site, khazad.com. It might even be a children's book! My "great work," it's been a long time coming, but the dream I had in 1971 is finally being realized! What fun! And just like my main character, I turn 60 this year, so the stars are merging at a very nice time.
