Jack's Story
Life
After MHS I went to WV Tech for a year before enlisting in the Army where I was a HAWK missle radar and fire control technician. While in the Army, I married Jeannie Danser from Sistersville and did a tour of duty in Korea. After my return to civilian life I went back to Tech earned a couple degrees and went to work for GTE in Durham, NC where we lived for 30 years. r came three years later. They've both graduated from UNC-Charlotte and both live in Charlotte. Jeannie and I are big Duke and WVU fans and we play some golf as time allows. Jeannie's family still lives in Tyler Co. so we still come "back home" once in a while and for reunions. In Nov. 2003 Verizon made me an offer I couldn't refuse and I retired after 29-1/2 yrs with them. We built a new home in The Villages, FL and relocated in 2004.
