Jack's Story
Married Vickie Romero shortly after graduation. Joined the Navy in October of '71, and spent 16 years serving my country, most of the time as a Reactor Operator onboard Nuclear submarines. Played LOTS of softball over the years, my most active being when I played for an Air Force Reserve team on the east coast, where I was called King Kong Karnos (I hit a lot of home runs). to, CA. I began working for the Navy in 1989 as a electronics engineer, later becoming a computer programmer at the Naval Air Warfare Center in China Lake, CA. I retired in November of 2013, and am bored stiff!
Vickie passed away in April of this year (2015). She'd just turned 62. We don't know exactly what caused her death, but assumed her heart failed her. It's a good thing as she had been in terrible pain all this year.
