Jackie Harlow:  

My maiden name was "Wolfe" and I married Bill Harlow six months before graduation. We moved to CA the following year where he became an Iron Worker. I worked at clerical jobs until I gave birth to my first son, William Dean, born 1/9/66. He was quite ill the first year, had asthma and spent a lot of time in the hospital. Raising him was my full-time job and just when we thought he had outgrown the asthma and his health was improving, I became pregnant with our second son, Patrick, born 3/16/69. William's health did not improve and shortly after Patrick was born, William had to have open heart surgery to repair a congenital hole in his heart. The surgery was very successful and we enjoyed living in Southern California during those years. However, Bill wanted to return to WY and so,we did in 1971. Unfortunately, I could not re-adjust to WY and we divorced in 1972. I moved with my two boys to Denver, CO for several years then moved back to Southern CA where I enrolled in night school to advance my career in the health care industry. I was in the "right place at the right time" worked hard and rose to Vice President of Human Resources in the health care industry where I served for 28 years. As a single parent, I was extremely lucky to have my two boys grow up to become wildly successful in their respective chosen paths. William joined the Army after high school graduation and served four years. After he was discharged, he enrolled in college and became a teacher. Also, while William was in the Army, Patrick became one of the most highly recruited football players in the country.
