Jackie's Story

That I am still as short as I was then and about the same weight. My best friend still lives in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and I haven't been there for two years but we keep in touch. I think we clicked because we had a lot in common - she was 5'10 and I was 5'2. In 10 years, I hope to be as active as I am now. I'm going to get there by keep on working hard. My do over would have been to finish school and gone to college before I did. No trophys, not a one!!! But I have educational achievements. I share my home with lots of pets, which I find calming. Selling newspapers on the street in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. It was weird but made good money!! I do tend to still like my blue jeans but my dress style has changed somewhat!! My best friend would tell you I'm crazy, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as fun. The first crush??? Don't have a clue but I do remember. I am a department manager in the retail business - Petco -- more animals. Would like to advance someday to an office management position. My current age is 29 and holding. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be old. I was so completely wrong. I really don't know - but I don't believe living back in Sumter is the place. Never lived in a dorm. I am a member of Phi Theta Kappa. If I won $100 million, I'd give part of it to my family...Expand for more
members, then spend the rest on rest, relaxation and investments. None that I can think of. That all that hell that I gave to my parents comes back to haunt me when mine got older, but I would never change them. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel all of it and add on a back deck. My dream home would be some other place that stays warm year round. My brother dying at age 50. Pets, gardening, reading , music and happiness. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Winnie Kunsman, because she was a good friend. I have lived in a lot of places, but the one that I would call home other than Sumter would be Ft. Lauderdale, FL. I lived there for 15 years and loved the beach. Hurricane season was rough - especially Andrew, but I would not change a thing about it. I moved back to Sumter because my Dad was in a nursing home with dementia and I needed to be closer to him. He has been gone for 6 years now. My Mom is my hero. She has stood by me all the way even after all the hell I have put her through. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have coffee in the morning, a smile on my face, and plenty of rest to be able to deal with the day-to-day. I am not going to give up all of my secrets!!!!! I hope old friends remember me as that short, crazy, wild thing that they could rely on. Gardening or reading
