Jackie's Story
Life
I am an old lady now (LOL). Three kids, one of which is finishing college. The other graduated with a degree in social work. YAY.
I ended up in St. Louis area, wish I never left California as I miss it so much. Got married right out of high school at age 18 and divorced at nineteen as I never really had the opportunity to date much. Then remarried at age 30 and started a family. Was married 23 years (wow) but divorced almost two years now. You know the old saying- moving on to greener pastures? He did.
I went to college, became and RN and worked at Tarzana Hospital till I retired after birth of first daughter. I still claim I am a stay-at-home Mom, but its harder to justify now that two of the three kids have already moved out. I live with my 18 year old son now. (actually my 23 year old daughter lives with me now too). I wish I could come back to California, and will seriously consider it as soon as my youngest graduates in May. ALL of my family still lives in Simi Valley.

Sometimes I feel sad that I did not have more close friends in high school. In college, I had to work full time to support myself and did not have any relationships there either. I remember a lot of my classmates, but some by face only and it seems to me that the few pictures I have seen, everyone looks just as good and just as young as they did way back in the day (where I walked to school in snow, uphill both ways.).
I could brag about my kids as I am fortunate to have such wonderful ones. But- it gets pretty boring to others.
I keep busy- stay in shape, used to run a lot but now I had knee surgery this February. Yikes!
I work hard as a volunteer for our local St louis chapter of Habitat for Humanity.
My last name for the past 23 years was Fetters, and before that, It was Tucker, but maybe I am remembered most by my maiden name again- LaRosa.
Would love to hear from anyone out there that may remember me? And. if you say hi- please include an old and a new picture, ok? thanks
