Life After graduating from Ocosta, I attended GHC and graduated with an ASSOC in Computer Science in 1970. I married Leslie Ross in 1969 and we had 2 beautiful daughters, Carman and Kellie. After 9 years, we decided that we should not be married to each other. I went to work for Twin Harbors W. Credit Union (now Great NorthWest Federal) in 1978. In 1980, I "ran away from home" and moved to South Carolina for 9 years. Worked for a large S&L there and visited alot of historical sites. Enjoyed the springs and falls, hated the summers. Moved back to Aberdeen in 1989 and back to the credit union in 1992.Been there ever since. The girls have grown up and had a total of 7 children of their own! I love being a grandma! I currently live in Shelton, WA with the love of my life, Thomas. We've been together for 10 years and we are currently completing a log cabin up here. I commute to Aberdeen for work.I have taken on dual responsibilities there - indirect lending and member business lending. Keeps me busy. With Tom's 2, we have a total of 9 grandchildren now! What joy! None of them live close, so we see them when we can. Hope to hear from all of you! 2018 update: A lot has happened since my original post! After 9 months commuting to Aberdeen, I decided to look for a job closer to home. Found the perfect place to finish my full-time working career at Peninsula Credit Union in Shelton, WA. Only a 12-15 minute drive from home! I spent almost 11 years there as a Branch Loan Officer and retired Sept. 30, 2016. In preparation for retirement, we sold our beautiful log home and bought a fixer-upper on just under an acre of land. It came with a shop for Tom and room for a "she-shed" for me. We also put in a nice garden and plenty of space for a tractor, truck, RV, etc, etc!! It was a lot of work, but we got the majority of the inside and about 1/2 of the outside done before our ev...Expand for more
