Right now, I'm living in Lake George, NY (actually Queensbury but everyone likes to call it Lake George). I moved up here about 10 years ago to get away from the crowds, crime and bulls.. of the Island. But before I go on and on about Lake George let me catch up to that. After high school I went to Jefferson Shores secretarial school with Cathy and Rosella. After that, I ended up working in Riverhead for a while and then went onto NYC. I met my future husband in the Hamptons (before it was so popular) and got married in 1980. He worked for Cablevision and we moved to Chicago for a promotion with the company. (Their not kidding when they say "windy city".) We had 2 kids there. After a few years, Barry resigned from Cablevision and we ended up moving back to Long Island (Ridge)in 85 and started a company called Amplified Wiring Systems which was a Cable TV contracting business. I had another baby in 88. All three of my kids are boys. Our company continued to grow and kept us really busy. We branched out into other states and formed another company called AWS Broadband & Fiber. Even though we were very busy we did managed to get away from time to time, drove all the way to Alaska one summer (You'd be amazed at how many people would ask me how we were able to drive there). We took many trips out west, had a time share at Disney but we always would end up in Lake George. So eventually in 1998 we bought a restaurant up here, closed up shop on Long Island,dissolved Amplified and kept AWS. (I know, how does a restaurant fit in with Cable TV, it doesnt, we never opened it.) We packed up the kids (who didnt want to leave) and moved up here. It was the best thing we could do.
