Jackie's Story
I've been married to my high school sweetheart for 49 years. We have traveled extensively in the United States. He was in the army for the first three years we were married. My husband is Thomas (Butch) Rasar. We started going together when I was 15 and he was 16.
We have lived in Alabama, Georgia, Virginia, Kentucky, Kansas, Washington State and California. Now we are back in Tennessee. We have no children of our own, but there are people all over that call us Mom and Dad and two special ones that call us mamaw and papa.
My health has been bad for several years, but I keep going. I like people and have a lot of very good fri...Expand for more
ends and some very talented ones. My husband and I take care of his parents, along with his sister. They are elderly and in bad health.
My parents are both dead. I still miss them. I have one sister and all kinds of nieces, nephews, geat nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews. I still have my best friend from the first grade, who is more like a sister to me.
Would I change anything about my life, probably, but my mistakes have taught me things, so I cann't resent them. I've had the man I love and he has shown me places I woulld have never seen. We've never had a lot of money, but we have always had each other.
