Jacob's Story

I have lived an amazing life since graduation day. I meet my wife, Autumn, while attending Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK. We were married on Dec. 13, 1997 in her home town of Weatherford, OK. We have been married almost twenty-four years now. I am so grateful for my wife, for all the months that I have been gone throughout our marriage. The endless tasks and drama she has to endure while I am away and her devotion / faithfulness to our marriage is inspirational. We have three beautiful kids: Alexis is ( 23 )-years old and a Second Lieutenant in the Army who is currently waiting to attend her Military Police Basic Officer Leadership Course. Andrew is ( 21 )-years old and a Specialist in the Army and is assigned to a Patriot Missile Battery. Kaleb is ( 20 )-years old and a Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps stationed in Okinawa, Japan. ife and family has been my strength throughout my career. I enlisted into the United States Marine Corps on January 6, 1998 and earned the title, "MARINE", on April 3, 1998 and never looked back. The Corps has taken us from Coast to Coast and back again. The Marines that I have served with, the places I have been, the things I have seen / done would take a lifetime to tell. I retired from the U.S. Marine Corps on July 31, 2016 achieving the rank of Gunnery Sergeant ( E-7 ), racking up ( 5 )-Military Occupational Skill qualifications along with completing ( 4 ) deployments to Iraq and a small stint in Afghanistan. I currently reside in Pensacola, Florida and employed by the Escambia County Fire Rescue Department assigned to the Ensley Fire Station - Station 6 as a Firefighter / Hazardous Materials Technician. I am currently attending Columbia Southern University with the goal of receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health by Summer 2022.
