Jacque's Story
long story short. I went to Kansas State where I got my degree in Art Education. Afterward, I moved to Houston, TX where I spent 25 happy years. I met and married Richard Brown in 1980 and I worked at the Houston Chronicle Newspaper for nearly 20 years. So much for my degree. I loved Texas it is a place with such diversity in culture and landscape there was no way to get tired of it. Except for the hot and hotter part of living on the Gulf Coast. Richard developed a serious illness so we moved to Illinois in Sept 2001 to be near his family, I wasn't so fond of Illinois. During this time I developed cancer and survived, he passed in 2007. I then moved to NW Arkansas because I have family here. It is beautiful here in the Ozarks the whole Western half of Arkansas is low mountain ranges and river valleys. I work for a major retailer, that shall remain nameless, based out of Bentonville, in finance.

re photography and Birding. More accuratly , photographing birds. I find Its both difficult and relaxing, and it feeds my artistic nature, it's something best done in a small group or alone. Since my husband passed I also have a renewed interest in tent camping by myself, which freaks out my family members. It's not like I hike off into the wilderness or anything. I have taken advantage of every opportunity to combine my hobbies.
I stayed in contact with one person from High School and one person from Kansas State all these years. I am looking forward to coming for the 40th reunion, I hear Topeka has changed a lot since the last time I was there, it'll be nice to see how everything has stayed the same, too.
I think when I was young I was able to entertain myself pretty well, I had a few very close friends, I have no idea what happened to most of them. I am still pretty good at entertaining myself.
