Life story, hmmmm.... Went to college the year after high school, and spent more time on extra-curricular activities than on school. It wasn't a bad school, really, just too conservative and I wanted a lot more adventure. Got married and went to Japan, where my Air Force husband was stationed. We spent about a year there, and I finally started having some satisfying adventures. We came back to Orange County, where we both found jobs and wondered what to do next - O.C. was still too conservative, and I still wanted more adventure. We moved to southern Oregon, bought a cut-over piece of timberland, where we had fantasies of farming. You can tell we were very naive suburban kids. We both went to school to get LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) certification. I wound up working in the Intensive Care and Coronary Care units, which was satisfying as far as it went, but not quite it. I started taking classes at the local college in Ashland, Oregon, where I eventually wound up getting my B.S. in Biology. Got divorced, and started spending a lot of time in the woods chasing endangered plant species for various federal agencies. This was *a lot* more like it.
