Life I must say I have adapted to California life here. Very different from the southerners. I especially adapted very nicely to the wonderful weather here. Couldn't ask for more. I miss Houston definately, but not the weather! This is my first time away from family. So it took some adjusting. I still miss them very dearly. I call home almost everyday so it wouldn't feel so much like they're in another state. I've been here for a little over a year. Living in the bay area Oakland/San Francisco area. The city has its perks. Lots of filipinos! So, I can relate to a lot of my peeps here. I feel like I'm home (Philippines). My Tagalog has gotten so much better. :) Another perk is that my family (aunts, uncles, cousins, lolas) are mostly here. Family is always a plus. Free food! :) Of course, I'm missing my family back home in Friendswood. My little brother is a senior this year at Brook and he's excited to graduate.
