Ok Rose - here is my story, boring as it may be.... After JHS graduation, I went off to American University majoring in political science and intending to go on to law school and then come back and be first woman governnor of Florida - ha! Loved DC and loved AU. Thanks Mr. Bailey for my scholarship!!!Did work for Congressman Rogers for 3 years - that was fantastic fun. But, met Mark at AU, who was a diehard Chicagoan, and after my Mom died in 1973, I graduated early and went off to Chicago to freeze my you-know-what off. We married in Jupiter in June 1974. Then, while Mark finished law school, I got my graduate degree in Urban Studies - it helped me a lot to understand the big city I was then living in for the first time in my life - like the country mouse who moved to the city, I didn't know which end was up. But I fell in love with Chicago - it is the prettiest, cleanest and most fun city and the people are NICE! Great restaurants, symphony, art museums, theater and MORE! I worked in various public policy arenas - always have worked in an area where common sense and ability to get projects planned, up and operating were useful.
