Jacqueline's Story
Life
Jacquie Williams Courtright is the owner of Alden Lane Nursery in Livermore. Her parents Jack and Ruth Williams founded the garden center in 1955. JacquieÂs grandparents came Livermore in 1919.
Jacquie is the community access cable television channel 30 host of The Valley Gardener seen in the Tri-Valley. The monthly program features seasonal gardening topics that air during the month.
Jacquie is a Livermore native. She was in the first graduating class of Granada High School. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Ornamental Horticulture at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Jacquie became one the first in the state to become ...Expand for more
a California Certified Nursery Professional and is a great proponent of the program. She was the third woman to serve as State President of the California Association of Nurseries and Garden Centers that was founded in 1917.
Jacquie married Tom Courtright on July 4, 1990. Tom is a second-generation garden center owner also. His nursery is Orchard Nursery & Florist is Lafayette, California.
Currently Jacquie serves as a director on the Alameda County Fair Board chairing the Promotions committee, is a member of the Las Positas College and Livermore High SchoolÂs horticulture advisory committees and belongs to the Rotary Club of Livermore.
