Jacqueline's Story
Life
Hi, everyone this is Jackie b*k*a wacky Jackie. I mostly hung aroung the choir and dance room at Morningside, and choir/band rooms at Washington. I have two daughters and one handsome son; Their ages are 19 & 16 years old and 11 mos. I've worked on the same job for 19+ years. I've had my share of challenges and "life" has happened but you live and learn.
School
At Morningside my passion was my dance class. I can't recall the Dance teachers name but, I remember she was awesome, had a lot of spirit and soul. At Washington my love was the Music/Choir class, & Mr. Harris was the bomb. I also enjoyed Drama as well with Mr. Johnson he was pretty fantastic too.
College
I didn't spend too much time at a College. I went to El Comino after high school for three months. Two years later I attended Trade Technical college for about 1 year as I pre-aprentised in a hair salon. I started doing braids/weaves independently and that brought in more mon...Expand for more
ey than going to school at the time. I stopped going to school and am entertaining the thought of completing Beauty School as I set out to do. Age brings about stability and change...
Workplace
I never realized I would be working in the education field. Although, it's been the job I've been most stable in, grew up on, had trials, tribulations etc. yet I'm still hanging in there. I've seen many a student and staff member go but there are many that have endured since the time I began. I love my job, but sometimes I desire to venture out and see where my experience will lead me?
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have a computer, music, and food to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
Life doesn't always turn out the way you expect. What's been your biggest surprise? having children and raising them by myself.
If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the house and add on a 2 bdrms & baths. My dream home would be built from the ground up.
