Life
After living in Decatur for 20 yrs and working as Executive Director for the American Red Cross, I moved to Montgomery, AL to take a job as C.E.O. of the American Red Cross of Central Alabama. A few months later Hurricane Ivan hit, followed the next year by Bonnie, Charlie, Rita and Katrina. Maybe I should have stayed in No. Alabama! n, MS, both married with children. Amanda is a litigation attorney and Eleanor designs her own line of stationary and party invitations. After 29 yrs. with Red Cross, I retired in 2013. I was asked to take a temporary job with a Montgomery non-profit to help them raise money and manage a Senior Center, so I arranged trips and traveled with groups of Seniors, as well as planning a Senior Center renovation. I moved to Madison, MS in 2015 to be near family. I have worked part-time at several businesses as a bookkeeper —I especially enjoy non-profit financial management.
