Jacqueline's Story

I have been asked to write about my life I will try. I was born in San Pedro CA a long time ago in the San Pedro hospital, we lived in PV at the time. I had a wonderful 7 years riding our horse and playing in the country. We lived a simple life but a good one, until my dad decided to move us all to Arkansas, so they sold the farm in PV to move us to the home stead far away. He took a leave from his job, he was a longshoreman, and off we went for the big adventure, mom, dad, 5 kids, a dog and a horse, we were quite a sight to see. We only stayed there for 6 mo. daddy couldn't find work so we moved back to CA and ended up on the west side of L.B. I went to John Muir grade school, Stephens Jr High and Poly High. I had a wonderful childhood and teen years. I married young at 18teen my husband was 23 and he worked for the Navy, we had 2 children and were very happy but at 32 he died of cancer which broke my heart. I went on to raise my children as best as I could. When my children were grown I met a man who I thought would be with me until death do us part. He had a wondering eye and was not faithful to me so the marriage didn't last. I am now single and live in Temecul...Expand for more
a CA with my oldest grandson. I have many hobbies, lots of friends and family which keep me busy. I also like to do road trips whenever I can. Last year in Oct. I went to Iowa I took the Northern route going and the Southern route coming home, seen quite a few states and met a lot of nice people. In Sept. of this year 2010 I am going on a cruse to Alaska with my 2 sisters and brother-in-laws, I have never been on a cruse. I have led a very interesting life and some of the best days of my life were in high school, every day I loved going to school. I was an art major, also was on the swim team. I love the beach and go there sometimes just to walk in the sand, my favorite beach is Pismo. I have enjoyed classmates.com and hope to keep finding people I know and I have also enjoyed getting in touch with people who went to the same school but I didn't know. This is just a few things about my life. I enjoy being here and every morning when I wake up I am thankful that I am still alive and well. Jackie ( Wilson ) Smith. By the way the women in the picture with me the girl sitting is also a graduate from poly high I think from the class of 54 her name is Margie Wilson Benoit.
