Jacqueling's Story
Life
I served 5 years in the US Army that landed me a 2-year stint at the Pentagon. After completing my tour at the Pentagon, I hung around in the Metro DC area. I live in the District of Columbia and love it. My job title is Senior Business Analyst which is a glorified name for a multi-talented computer "geek" but it neither defines me nor says what my job is. I work for a tiny firm based in McLean, Virginia that supports the Department of Treasury. I work minutes from the White House which means a short 3-minute walk to the Metro can easily be re-routed and take more than 15 minutes at the drop of a hat. ItÂs GREAT to live in this city and in this country. Flexibility is the spice of life. ;-)
I am in love with my Yamaha V-Star (thatÂs a not-so-big motorcycle, but if anyone is collecting for my next birthday present please consider a Yamaha Warrior and I will give you my 1st born) and my DVR. I am torn as to whether I should marry the motorcycle or the DVR because each offers something different at different times, which is why I m...Expand for more
ay never marry either. In the meantime, I will continue to love them both but differently. LOL
I am a PROUD, OUT, LESBIAN and have no reservations about who I am and who I love. I live my life on my terms and surround myself w/loving, caring, and considerate family and friends. I revel in seeing the reaction when I explain that I am a lesbian. People are funny but I love Âem.
I keep busy juggling all kinds of things in the air to remain sane. I am scheduled to take an ice cream making course this summer and IÂm stoked about that. I hike, I cook, I ride my motorcycle, hang w/friends, go to church, workout, entertain at my home in NE DC, and still manage to play basketball at least once a week (lately itÂs 2X a week). My life is full and I am happy.
Military
Did the Army thing and it is part of my basic make-up. My bestest friend comes from my days in the Army.
I was in Taegu, Korea for a year and loved it and the people. I would love to return.
My tour at the Pentagon was interesting but I liked the time at Site R, MD.
