June 2009: If you're here looking for Mike Lowery, he was my husband and we shared this Classmates account. I'm so sorry to say that he died in a tragic accident on May 26, 2007. I wrote about it in the announcement section shortly afterward but I guess Classmates changed their format because I don't see it on here anymore. The accident was a few weeks after I wrote that 5/07 update. It's been a rough two years but the kids and I are doing pretty good considering everything. We miss him every day. He was a wonderful, generous, loving and intelligent man, husband and father. I was fortunate to have almost 15 years with him. We're still in our home in San Marcos, though I spend a lot of time in Menifee and Sun City with family. May 2007 update: We're still living in San Marcos, I am now working as a medical assistant and Mike works as a Senior Training Manager/Technical writer. Ian is just finishing his first year at a junior college in Rancho Cucamonga, Garrett will be going into middle school, and Rhiannon will be in 3rd grade. Mike travels quite a bit so when we can we go to the desert (usually Ocotillo Wells) with our dune buggy & quads, and try to go to San Felipe for at least a week every summer. During the summer the kids and I go to Laughlin/Lake Mojave with my brother Alan, his wife Kathleen, and and their family (inevitably Mike is on a trip!). ...Expand for more
