Jae's Story
Vicki Shaw, Carlye LaBelle, and Bob Sparks were the only good reasons for me to show up in the three years I haplessly squandered on North Street.
Botany was my only 'A' in high school, where it was always more important to be yourself than to belong - I wish I'd known that then.
The most important thing I've realized along the way is that the important things in life aren't things.
Since then: My family are my best friends, and the secret to being a good grandpa is whomever you're given to learn with - mine are named Asher and Jacob.
I'm a great roommate and a trusted friend; I seldom write anything without using a semicolon, and I continually obsess over whether or not I'm OCD.

I'm building a tree house, and my pet honey bee hasn't been home in 11 years.
I like rusty things, I no longer have to look up the meaning of the word 'ancillary', and someday I'd like to drive a helicopter.
I really have taken the river down to Stillwater, but I've never been to Spain.
The most interesting artists I've had the privilege to meet are Bruce Cockburn, Joe Satriani, and Marilyn Manson; fascinated as I am with celebrity, I don't think I'd wish it on myself or anyone I care about.
I will likely need a date for the reunion.
Oddly, after all I've been through, I like being me.
And I really miss Don Ronneberg.
