Marie's Story
Life
My husband, Ralph, and I recently relocated to Spokane, WA. We were driven to make the change by our desire for a slower pace, quieter lifestyle than So Cal had to offer. With the move I am also able to stay home with our 2 year old Rachel. (See her pix with me on this page at 9 mo. old)
Since NTHS I worked for Alpha Beta as a clerk which paid my way through CSULB. I then went to work for a Orthodontist as his Patient and Lecture Coordinator for two years. I went to work for Neill aircraft in Long Beach and became a buyer. In 1996 I landed a job as buyer with The Belkin Corporation, who at the time was 3 million a month company. ...Expand for more
At the time when I left the company in Feb 2005 it was 50 million a month company in the US with subsidary companies in the UK, Taiwan, Netherlands, Singapore, and individuals throughout Europe. In my time there I was a Buyer, Senior Buyer, Media Buyer, Commodity Buyer, and a Purchasing Manager. It was quite a ride, but I'm glad it's over now. I married Ralph in 2000 after Lenora (Kaneen)Duncan and Dave Duncan introduced us in 1999.
While working at Belkin, I also started and completed a Masters in Theology at Vanguard University in Cost Mesa. I was a lay pastor for Hope Chapel Gateway in Torrance from 2000 until we relocated this year.
