Jake's Story
Life
Well, after graduating high school, i spent 3 years lost.mainly partying it up in college. I needed direction while figuring out what i wanted to do in life and work. I joined the navy in 1987,went to boot camp in San Diego,CA. I liked it so much there,i stayed for 10 years. After 2 ships and 1 West Pacific deployment(Went to Korea,Japan,Hong Kong,Singapore,Hawaii and Australia)i decide to be closer to home and moved to the East coast. I stayed in ...Expand for more
Norfolk,Virgina and Jacksonville,Florida on 2 more ships and 2 more deployments,this time to the Mediterrean and the Persian Gulf. Saw many interesting countries(Italy,Spain,Croatia,Slovenia,Malta,Greece,Turkey,Crete,and the sand pit Baharain). Now in my final years til retirement from the navy, i cant but regret missing the class reunions and old friends. I live in Oak harbor,WA,now,big change from Virginia and Florida especially the spectacular scenery.
