Jake's Story
School
High school was pretty tough for me as for most of it my step-father was terminally ill. That, and I moved out when I was 16. Definitely not the "golden years"! However, things got better and I love my life (have for years) and I feel very blessed.
Won't be attending any reunions though!!!
College
I have an undergrad in Finance from Georgia Southern and a masters in City Planning from Univ. of TN. I also have my CCIM professional designation, which is sort of like having your CPA in commercial real estate.
Workplace
I've worked for most of my career in commercial & investment banking.
Military
I served 6 years (1983...Expand for more
- 1989) in the Army Reserves.
i got married in 2007 and live in knoxville, tn. love it up here and have been in TN for about 10 years (did 2 years in DC).
my passion is whitewater kayaking and has been for many years. knoxville is the mecca for whitewater kayaking and why i came here. met my wife kayaking as well.
to say passion is probably putting it lightly. i paddle almost every weekend, year round and been all over the US doing it and several visits to central america. my wife and i just went to ecuador in february of this year (2008) and paddled a week down there. big water, great country.
