James's Story
Life
Married Jill Criscione (East Class of '70) in 1974 right after college - we both graduated from Illinois State. Have been married for 35 years. We have lived in Joliet, Des Moines (IA), Ballwin (St Louis), MO, Rochester Hills (Detroit), MI and now Carmel (Indianapolis), IN. Son, Brett, graduated in Dec, 2007, with a major in humanities/sciences. Daughter, Julie, graduated May, 2008 with a major in English. We love to travel - preferably cruise.
College

Workplace
Executive Vice President at Simon Property Group. Responsible for a group that locates and develops new retail concepts for malls. Properties are throughout the US and have international locations in Japan, Mexico and Italy.
Health
Health took a bad turn in April, 2007. Diagnosed with lung cancer. Spread to the brain in March, 2009. Seven different chemotherapies for lungs and radiation for the brain. The battle goes on. Had one 18-month remission and have now been in remission since December, 2009.
