James's Story
Life:
Well it's been a few years since high school. It seems like only yesterday! Anyway, high school was not one of my favorite life experiences because I was shy, short and had some acne (all the best attributes). I feel that people become more real and down to earth with age.
I made it to 6 ft. and now my 14 yr. old son is dealing with the genes I passed on to him. I tell him that I know how he feels, but I'm talking to a kid in a different generation and I probably sound like some old guy. :)
I'm married to a school teacher and we have been married now for going on 18 yrs. She's a good woman, but we don't always agree on everything. Marriage is work, but what isn't? We have two boys ages 14 and 8. We lost a little girl 10 years ago, so I have one waiting for me upstairs. :)My boys are my life and we do a lot together. I like hanging out at the beach and playing frisbee and body surfing. I also enjoy camping and playing in the dirt. I have a dune bugg...Expand for more
y and love to take it to the desert, beach, and the mountains.
I work as a Safety Officer which is a firefighter/police officer out at Ontario Airport (LAX), so if you ever travel through look me up. I'm paying the bills and enjoying life. From time to time I wonder what happend to a few of the people I hung out with on Hunters Call (school paper). Maybe I'll know a few people at the 25th or 30th.
Military:
I was in the Air Force from 1986-1990. I served a 15 month tour in Guam where I was involved in scuba diving. While in Guam I was able to visit Japan and the PI. Beautiful places but is was always great to return to the base and see that wonderful American Flag blowing in the wind. I also served a 12 month tour in Korea. I spent a lot of my money sending people back home leather goods and shoes. I finished up my military enlistment at Norton AFB in San Bernardino, CA. I enjoyed the military and would of retired two years ago if I would of stayed in.
