James Brady:  

Graduating in '81 was the last time I met most of you. I went to get an Associate in Arts degree from Queensborough Community College in 1984 and then an Bachelor of Arts from St Louis University in St Louis, MO in 1986. Both degrees were in history, with a concentration on American history around the turn of the century (1900, that is!). After that I entered the seminary (not too many Edison grads have done that, I'm sure) and haven't stopped traveling since. I left for Ireland in the summer of '86 and returned to profess my first vows in 1987 as a missionary. I went on to get a Master of Divinity degree from the Washington Theological Union in 1992 and was ordained a Catholic priest in August of that year for the religious congregation of missionaries to which I belong, the Montfort Missionaries. Since then I have worked in parishes in Queens, NY and inner city St Louis, MO. I became fluent in Central American Spanish and have worked since ordination in the preparation of new members in my religious congregation, both here in the States and in Colombia and Nicaragua.
