James's Story
Life
I was born on August 2, 1976. What most people do not know, is that I was born in Minot, N.D. on an Airforce base where my parents were stationed at the time while in the United States Airforce. Pretty weird!! We lived there for the first year of my life, then moved to Saginaw, MI. when my parents got out of the Airforce. I lived in Saginaw, with my parents and my younger sister Autumn, when she was born on August 4, 1979 - yes my parents have pretty good timing! We lived in Saginaw until 1987 when we moved to Birch Run, MI. Birch Run is a small farming village between Saginaw and Flint and about 10 minutes from Frankenmuth (to all that know the area). High School in 1995 - just barely (didn't like school much)! After graduation and losing my first job (working at Hardee's - a fast food restaurant) due to it closing down, I moved to Syracuse, N.Y. with my best friend. I lived there for about a year and then moved back home to Birch Run after my best friend decided to join the Army. I lived at home with my parents until my dad retired from GM and my parents moved to N.C. I continued to live and work in Birch Run until I moved to the Grand Rapids area in August of 2004 for a better job. I moved in with my sister and we worked together at the same company. We lived in a city called Kentwood for about a year and then moved to a town called Caledonia were we continue to live. My sister now has a boyfriend named Phil and all three of us live together happily - well most of the time.
