James C.'s Story

Life After years of being way too wordy, here is the edited version of my life: 1976 Ana was born, and I graduated; 1977 - Married Barbara Daw, and moved into the house where I lived for 27 years; 1979 - Left Sac State and started working for State of California; By 1982 - Had 4 children; 1985 - Divorced from Barbara; 1991 - Retired from State; 1992 - Ordained as Minister for the Universalist Church; 1993 - First of eleven grandchildren born; 1995 - Managing Director of Sacramento Opera; 1999 - Principal Musical Director of Woodland Opera House; 2001 - Vocal Music Director for Natomas Charter School Performing and Fine Arts Academy; August 1, 2005 - Married a wonderful man by the name of David. autiful wedding ceremony to celebrate our first year anniversary since we married. 2008 - Left Charter to continue teaching vocal music with my own company, Sacramento Vocal Music. Legally wed my husband on August 1, 2015, our 10th anniversary, and 17 years after we met. Let me know how you're doing... College I went to Sac State to study Theatre Arts and Music. In 2008, I concluded my tenure as a music teacher in a Charter School, I guess it just goes to show an education is important! Workplace I've been fortunate to have loved my work at every turn. Working as an Administrator for the State, Managing Director of an Opera Company, Music Director for an Opera House, Music Teacher at an Arts Academy and self-employed Professional Writer, have all been exciting adventures. I have settled into my love of teaching private vocal music lessons.
