James Caldwell:  

Life Joined US Navy right after HS. Served on fast attack nuclear submarine in North Atlantic; based out of Holylock, Scotland. Loved the UK, would like to return to Ireland for long vacation (I'm deep pedigreed Scott/Irish). Attended SMSU after military (75-79). Cancer surgery Freshman year. Partied too much but still managed to maintain an A average. Graduated with BS (concentration in Interdisciplinary Antiquities). Hung around Springfield for five more years, worked as a field archaeologist for Mo State Cultural Surveys, remodeled homes, managed a residential sub-contractor business and worked for Hiland Dairy and Litton. Got my heart broke 79 after 2 year engagement. Went to work for Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Company in Kansas Jan 1980 as a Reactor Control Systems Technician. Married a girl from Hollywood, CA and raised 5 boys. Oldest son at University of Hawaii, one works for Lowes and is an IS/IT geek, one in school at Boise State and bartending for Applebees, one is in Technical College and has a band, the youngest is in high school and likes to fish, skateboard and play golf. Spent 15+ years involved in endurance sports, distance running, solo backpacking, alpine mountaineering and NORBA mountain bike racing until my body's joints wore out (oh well they're replaceable...been meaning to do that}.
