James's Story
Life
Hi
I'm retired in Wisconsin now after a 52-year career in health care.
School
It took me 11 years after high school to get an Associate degree, and 25 years to get a BS. They shut down the college the day I got my BS.
I wonder what those facts say about me?
College
I always worked full-time while attending college. Sometimes college was full-time and sometimes part-time.
After my kids went away to college and developed strong friendships with their schoolmates I realized what I'd missed by being a "commuter" student. That's a major gap in my life's experience, I think. I'm glad my kids went off to college as a full-time event in and of itself and immersed themselves in campus life.

Military
I went where I was sent and I did as I was told.
During my commissioned service, an Army Colonel once told me I did the work of three men.
I felt really good about that, until he explained that the three men were Larry, Moe and Curly.
