James's Story
Military
I enlisted in the Army on 18 September 1975 and took Basic and AIT training at Ft. Polk Louisana. After AIT I was ststioned at Ft. Campell, KY. I came down on Orders to Germany in Sept 1977 and was stationed in Aschaffenburg Germany. I liked germany so much that I extended for an extra year and returned to Ft. Campbell, KY in Sept 1981. I remained at Ft. Campbell until Jan 1986 at which time I came down on orders to Korea. I was stationed in Camp Hovey Korea until Jul of 1987 at which time I returned to FT. Y. In July of 1990 I deployed on advance Party to Operation Desert Storm in Saudi Arabia. I was there when it turned into Desert Storm. I returned to Ft. Campbell, KY in Aug 1991 and shortly after came down on orders Back to Germany. I was stationd at Nurenburg until the Military Closed down there then was transferred to Bamberg Germany where I reamined until Jan 1996! I was then stationed at FT. McCoy, WI until Dec 1996 at which time I retired as an E7 Seargeant First Class. I moved to Clarksville TN where I have remained since!
