James's Story
Life
Well, where do I begin? I guess I would start by saying, after dropping out of High School in 10th grade because of the emotional torment and torture that it was, I received my GED in 1981 and joined the Navy. I was trained as a Hospital Corpsman and I spent 8 years traveling up the coast of California with a year of that in Japan stationed with the Marines. in 1988, After getting out of the Navy, I began working for AT&T as an Applications Consultant in Northern California. In December of 1991 I returned to Michigan and worked at the VA Hospital Outpatient Clinics in Ann Arbor, where ...Expand for more
I became the Outpatient Clinic Supervisor.
I continued my education at Sacred Heart Major Seminary, ArchDiocese of Detroit where I majored in Philosophy. From 1992 until 2002, I was a music minister for St. Kevin's and St. Norbert's parishes of the Inkster Catholic Community, serving with Fr. John Lehner, OSFS. These were quite gentle years of my life.
In 2002 I had a double coronary bypass as the result of other medications I was taking, so I chose to slow down and retire up to Gaylord, Michigan, where I presently live on a small private lake in the midst of the Mackinaw State forest.
