James's Story

There's been a few peaks and valleys since graduation, but for the most part, I'm proud of the person I'm evolving into. I've gone on to get a Master's in Criminal Justice and worked within that industry as well as several others (Medical Anthropology, Archaeology, and Music). I was admittedly an underachiever and somewhat anti-social back in the day, but that lack of support and scarcity in close bonds hardened me to a degree and prepared me for the obstacles to come. I've achieved most of the goals I set for myself----I didn't necessarily experience the results I expected, but at this point, I wouldn't have it any other way. st 016 for work, as well as to obtain a second Master's. For the past seven years, I felt cursed as every attempt I made to leave St. Louis (for the final time) fell through, but the stars realigned and things are looking up. I used to be big on karma and originally thought there was some great cosmic lesson that needed to be learned from that predicament, but who knows. I do believe I'll be leaving St. Louis as the best possible version of myself While i hated high school (and middle school), I do appreciate the handful of people that consistently showed me kindness and friendship during that period in my life, and it's always great to see those classmates doing well.
