James's Story

After graduation from Arlington HS, I spent the next 3 1/2 years at California College of Arts & Crafts in Oakland, CA. During the third year I met my future wife and also Joined the Naval Reserves. I served on a US Submarine SS 524 as a Sonar Tech for over two years. I married my wife in Aug 1967 and the day before our 18 annaversary she died of Breast Cancer. We had two boys. Our oldest we adopted in 1978 and he is married and lives in Tennessee. He and his wife just had their 1st child this past September. Two years after my wife passed...Expand for more
away I remarried as lady that had 3 children, two girls and a boy. We've been married since February 1988. We live in Port Orchard, Washington. I retired from a Civil Service Job with the Navy as a computer specialist/Zone Manager responsible tor 2200 computers at a Naval Shipyard in 2003. This year I visited my 50th State for the 1st time (Alaska) while taking a Cruise with Holland American. Our youngest son plays his horns on the Amasterdam and will end his present contract in Jan 2010. He has a neat job and is seeing the world to boot.
