James's Story
Life
My Spouse
On North Beach during my lunch hour, I noticed her butt while bending over to pick up a pocket full of change that, to this day I am NOT sure wasn't dropped on purpose.
My Kids
My 20 yr. old is in Fla. enabling her to spend more time with her MOM
My 18yr. old just recently signed to attend Sam Houston State University for a career in Kinesiology.
My 6 yr. old is helping to keep me young and causing me to grow older by the minute. They are all 3 wonderful and truly a blessing from God.
My Job
Very fast paced, I manage 25 subordinates in a Sub-Sea Christmas Tree Manufacturing Plant Called FMC in Hou.
Workplace
When having first moved to Houston in 1996, the change from Corpus was overwhelming. We knew no one except the girl that ultimately got my wife to transfer here for Baker Hughes with an underlying possibility that they would hire me as well. Didn't happen. After 8 months without work and what looked to be inevitable that we would have to return to Corpus so that we would both be able to work. FMC called me with an offer through a Temporary Service and I too...Expand for more
k it. The work we performed was something that I never knew existed but found interesting enough to keep me returning, if for nothing more than a paycheck, for the first couple of months anyway. I worked as a Temp for 9 to 10 months then was hired full-time. I went through the ranks of working my way to Supervision in Aug. of 2000. I have been in that position ever since. FMC is a Fortune 500 Company with a current backlog of work that ranges into the billions of dollars. We manufacture, build, test, service, and refurbish subsea christmas trees for the ever present Oilfield (Shell/Exxon/BP/Texaco/and several smaller companies). So, yes I have been labeled oilfield trash but it has made a decent living for my family and has aided in me being able to expand my future to what I think is going to be, at very least, comfortable. Those of you whom I knew and spent time with in school, I can only hope that you are as happy and content as I am at this point. I wish you all the best regards you could hope for and whatever prosperity you make efforts to obtain. Good wishes and God speed. James Faucett---Go Bucs!
