James's Story
After TMI I went to UT Chatt. and Chatt. State. I then worked with my father in dentistry for 34 years. In 2oo6 I had a stem cell bone marrow transplant after being diagnosed with multiple myeloma. I am now retired with peripherial neuropathy. I stay busy with my car collection and I am an avid coin collector. I have been married to Sherrie for 28+ years and we have two children and two granddaughters who live two doors down from us. Life is extra good when you have a second chance at it. As I was recuperating I took a couple of day trips to Sweetwater and it sure has grown. TMI was a Japanese school but is now closed and for sale for 3 million. l. I stopped by the Petterman house and Scobby is the printting shop. He said Mike Langley is a veternarian here in Chatt. On a trip to Fla. I looked up Ed Young and he is manager of a plastics company. He is now single but is dating a nice lady. I occasionly run in to the Joe and Frank Proctor and they are in business with their father and Frank has a skateing rink or two.I kept up with Mike Turner for years and he ran the family funeral home. I think he is in Destin Fla. building condos. Gunter Vassey ran the family clothing store for years but was killed in a car wreck about 10 years ago. My brother Kip practiced internal medicine im Atlanta Ga. for 13 years and now is a vice pres. for BCBS of Ga. It is strange that he did so well at TMI but hated his time there that he will not even talk about it. I will post more info as I think of it.
