James's Story
Life
After high school I attended Techical School for Electronic Engineering Technology. attained ASEE in 1967. Worked 8 hr job in warehouse while attending school 5 hrs a night. First job in industry was with API Instruments in Chesterland, OH. Started as test tech and later became supervisor of 4 depts. When API was bought by LFE Corp in 1970 I was let go and went to work with father at Auto Expert Service Center at 139th St. & Kinsman Ave. Stayed there until 1973. Next job was with Pioneer Electronics as an Industrial Sales Rep. Left the following year to join the Defense Dept where I worked for 27 years, starting in Cleveland and finishing career in 2002. Specialties were Quality Assurance Mgmt., Reliability, and Contract Mgmt. Retired as Chief of the Defense Contract Mgmt Group at GE Aircraft Engines, Cincinnati.

r worked with Navy, USAF and Army contracting org and technical suppport groups and with DoD contractors engaged in building and testing of major weapon systems and their components. Most notable were MK48, ADCAP and MK50 Torpedo systems and military jet aircraft engine programs. Member, Defense Acquisistin Corps, American Society for Quality. Thousands of hours of DOD contract mgmt., QA and personnel mgmt training. Numerous awards for contributions and service.
Currently retired and living in Cincinnati area. AND YES I AM STILL A LOYAL BROWNS, INDIANS and CAVS fan. Thank heavens for satellite dishes.
Spending time catching up on the classics I should have read in high school, playing golf and travelling. Lots and lots of travelling.
Only 1 child, a daughter who lives in Arizona ; one grandson, Zach, one helluva trumpet player at 15.
