James's Story
I entered the army right out of high school and got a medical discharge due to an injury I had prior to enlisting, and started construction work. I almost died in 1990 after suffering a 45 foot fall from a bridge onto concrete, suffering a crushed spine and 13 other fractures. I was paralyzed for over a year and a half, and slowly regained the ability to walk blowing the minds of my doctors. I pursued my interest of radio, by interning and later working at WCGQ in Columbus. ouge. I also have worked in several clubs spinning tunes as well. I also own my own DJ business. I got into radio sales selling LSU Sports in 2000. I married my wife of almost 16 years in 1993, we have two kids my son Ruston is almost 16 and my baby girl Madison is 10. I currently am the Affiliate Relations Managerfor a Statewide Radio News Network. I over seesome 72 affiliates that we work with through Louisiana and parts of Mississippi.
