James's Story
Life
After High School, I started my colliegate career at SC4 and then on to Wayne State University. While working on a degree in Mechanical Engineering at WSU, I was working for an assistant manager at a Metro Detroit sporting goods chain. After time I decided to automate the chain's cash, warehousing, and accounting systems. This was back in 92-3, and the very beginning of the PC revolution. o work for Kmart Corp. in Troy, MI as a Team Manager in their CIS division. In early 1998 I left Kmart and joined Microsoft Corporation, where I work today as a Senior Technology Strategy Consultant. Also, in 1998 I married Stacy Parr (yes, P.H. graduate) and we have a 2 1/2 year old daughter, Madison. We're still in Michigan, although we spend a lot of time on the road, currently in Midland working with Dow Chemical Company. Oh, and yes, I've met Bill Gates. Ya see, it's true, you really are only 5 people away from everybody in the world!
